Clone Records Recommends! Technique Recommends!
Clone Review:
Great three-track EP by Leonid. Spaced out I.D.M. (let's use that one again). Must have for b12 fans. Recommended!
Juno Review:
Launched last year, Chicago label Stolen Kisses has impressed with its intermittent output thus far, securing material from Hakim Murphy and BNJMN as well as Santiago Salazar and Andy Stott remixes. Founder Steve Mizek (who also runs Little White Earbuds) revealed earlier this year that the label would now have a limited five-release shelf life as sub-label to his main Argot operation, but this third drop demonstrates Stolen Kisses is no less ambitious in its output. Spanish producer Leonid Nevermind provides the original material on Third Kiss, with the excellently titled "Crushed Icebreaker" a thick, dizzying house groove characterised by the type of production idiosyncrasies that grab you from the off. "Passion's Limiter" begins in more traditional deep house territory, though there's a pleasant, gradual shift in sound as it progresses, with the vocal passage deep into the track likely to surprise many. The label's high standards of remix commissions are maintained with Frankfurt icon Roman Flugel drawing a sumptuous rendition of "Crushed Icebreaker" across the B Side expanses.
Technique review:
Roman Flugel remix! From the US new label Stolen Kisses, where Hakim Murphy's work is also talked about, a new single by the up-and-coming Leonid Nevermind, which is attracting attention on Squonk, Nowar, Soul People Music, etc., has appeared! A comfortable deep house track with a Balearic mood on the front! Content full of openness with excellent Latin and tropical tribal feeling! Moreover, contrary to the mood of the original song, Roman Flugel, a German veteran artist familiar with Alter Ego, participated as the remixer! The promo board is already being played by the top DJs! !! Big push!!!

about

Leonid Nevermind Granada, Spain

Too introspective and shrouded in pantheism, Leonid Nevermind's music doesn´t fit into any established category and, on the contrary, always seems to want to escape it. It doesn't matter the style or the origin, controlled or not, since it speaks widely for itself. – Input Selector ... more
